The most recent New York Times / Siena poll lists Trump with a 48% to 43% lead over Biden among registered voters.
Somewhat ominously for Biden, four years ago this same survey gave Biden a 2% lead over Trump among those most likely to vote. This time around, Trump has a 4% lead among those same voters.
Even worse…last time around, Biden had 72% of the vote among registered voters of color who did not attend college, a nearly 50% margin. Last week, Biden only led in that group by 47% to 41%.

America loves a comeback. His bandwagon may fill up more still.
People easily forget that, despite the gnashing of teeth once Covid and the Floyd riots were in full sway, Trump was viewed as likely to be reelected.
Hard to believe that this is where we are now, but there is a swelling “anyone but Biden” vote as well.
