That’s the 2.5 particulate matter count in our East Bay neighborhood currently.

Is that a good thing or bad?

I presume with the fires it’s bad?  What’s normal?

Normal is around 50 or less. 150 is unhealthy. 200+ is very unhealthy, 300+ is considered hazardous.

Despite my weight loss, I still weigh a bit over 200.  My wife agrees with your chart.

Daughter had a water polo clinic at Menlo this afternoon. Looked good, then the air quality plummeted. The coach stopped halfway through the clinic and sent everyone home, even though some kids drove 4 hours for the 2 hour event. Tough decision, but kudos to him for making the right call. Stanford grad, btw.

Trying to convince Young Dawg to toss my granddaughters in the car and haul ass north for a few days.  Let the Twinadoes free range in the back yard.  Unfortunately, daughter in law can’t escape.  Asst principal at Willow Glen Middle School.  I guess her attendance is mandatory.

Looks like the air quality is improving and the t-storms are headed out to sea. Hope the trend continues. . . .

Damn, you’re making me feel stupid.

Wouldn’t thunderstorms assist the firefighters and was particulates out of the air. Why do you want the wet weather to move off shore?

Because the lightning from the last set of thunderstorms started all the fires. Over 500 of them in CA burning now and have been for a week. Rain good. Lightning bad.

All a matter of perspective. I have loved flying cross country and watching the thunderstorms from above. Yet another bit of nature to enjoy.

That’s great.  We used to live four blocks from WGMS.  My father, uncles and aunt went there.  Boys used to play NJB in their gym for years.  We’re still about 1.5 miles away from WGMS.

I’ve been in plane that was hit by lightning. Twice.
