cardcrimsonParticipantI guess now that Trump is gone, and Newsom has proven to be a complete failure, there’s no reason for TOS to keep its Covid-19 echo chamber going.
With the tightest restrictions in the country for 9+ months, California currently has nearly twice the national average in daily new cases, by far the worst in the country. Guess those guys don’t want to discuss, or admit to, Pretty Boy’s and his minions total and complete screw up.

LegendKeymasterFunny how that works, isn’t it?
There’s going to be a lot of discussion on Covid that gets shut down now that our heroes are in charge and / or we can’t blame the feds for the issues.
That, and I suspect the other reason (which is why the old CEB, then thunderdome, were really shut down…), is recruiting. An honest assessment of the California situation probably has some negative resonance for recruiting, and so why not just stop the conversation. That’s how we roll at Stanford, and pretty much at every neo liberal institution in America. From “let the winds of freedom blow” to “we can’t HANDLE the truth!”

cardcrimsonParticipantGreat point, didn’t think about the recruiting aspects. Clearly, both Santa Clara County and California in general are disasters from mismanagement. So many other places to explore that aren’t burdened with the draconian lockdowns. The “40 year decision” doesn’t work if you can’t go to school and can’t play. . . .

cardcrimsonParticipantMight I suggest that those that can post on the Covid-19 board, post that this could be a very viable alternative, with all opinions welcome. Wouldn’t hurt. . . .
