Of course, that’s conjecture on my part. But looking at the case rate in Contra Costa and California in general, I don’t see how they won’t impose another lockdown of sorts. Not that I’m in favor of one, btw.

Case rates are 50% higher than this time last year, when infections were at the peak. Case rates for vaxxed folks are about the same as unvaxxed folks a year ago, too.

Interestingly, this time around, the case rates are highest in the affluent areas, at least for the time being.

I still think that there will be no broad based lockdowns because there will be no opposition party playing hardball politics to do them.  The Dems sunk the economy with lockdowns in 2020 at least in part to gain political advantage (just like they let riots happen for the same that year).  I don’t think it helps them to do it now.

Even Fauci has religion on the “inconvenience” of lockdowns suddenly.

I was thinking more along the lines of virtual learning, no eating or drinking indoors, limited large gatherings, etc. Many schools and restaurants have implemented them already, so I wouldn’t be shocked, especially as omicron might, might be more of an issue for kids than the previous variants.

Of course the political climate is entirely different now to your point. They own everything, and thus far, they’ve messed it all up. . . .
