Mick1ParticipantLimited to high traffic points, which probably makes sense. They needed to waive 26 federal laws to allow border wall construction.
The BBC says that there’s a lot of similarity between Biden and Trump. Both invoked Title 42. Trump kept migrants in Mexico to wait for processing, Biden (and the USOC) revoked that policy. Trump separated families, Biden did not…but Biden didn’t reunite all families. And BIden let in 100,000 migrants from Honduras, El Salvador, Guatemala and Colombia. Separately, Obama was known as the “Deporter in Chief” for the large number of immigrants that his administration turned away.

Army-Navy game is being played at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro on 12/9. But you can’t get a hotel room there. The rooms are being used to house refugees.

Mick1ParticipantLast month, 50,000 refugees from Venezuela were turned away. 7 million Venezuelans have left the Socialist paradise that is Venezuela, more than have left war-torn Ukraine or war-torn Syria. More than 400,000 Venezuelans have crossed Panama’s Darien Gap on foot.

The irony is not lost on me that Socialist/Socialistic Progressives are protesting the fact that our capitalist country is turning Venezuelans back to their Socialist paradise.

Mick1ParticipantIllegal border crossings are at an all-time high. Curious to see how Biden will deal with them. Multiple Dem state governors including JB Pritzker of Illinois and Kathy Hochul of New York are begging for help and a cessation of immigrants.
Here’s the opinion of the author:
Immigration policy is vexing and complicated, requiring the balancing of compassion, humaneness and the enforcement of U.S. laws. At a time of declining birthrates and an aging population, the United States needs immigrants to replenish the workforce. Yet the absence of secure borders amounts to national security vulnerabilities and raises questions about U.S. sovereignty. That is part of a big and ongoing debate. Politically, however, the issue of the day is record flows of illegal immigration.

Mick1ParticipantAn update on illegal border crossings. In Donald Trump’s four years as president (Jan 17 to Dec 2020) there were an annual average of 494,802 illegal border crossings. In Biden’s three years as president (January 21 to Dec 2023) there have been anannual average of 2,641,415 illegal border crossings, more than five times as many, and more than six times as many under Obama/Biden.
Why? Biden did three things: paused deportations, suspended “remain in Mexico until your case comes up” policy and stopped border wall construction. And, of course…he’s a liberal pandering to progressives.
“No great nation can be in a position where they can’t control their borders. It matters how you control your borders. Not just for immigration, but it matters for drugs, terror and a whole range of things” Quote by Joe Biden

Mick1ParticipantMigrant surge overwhelming southern border. Not from Mexico, but from about everywhere else. 10k+ apprehensions per day. Border Patrol is overwhelmed, small border towns are overwhelmed.

ParticipantYet liberals insist there is not an immigration problem, and this assault is not about immigration policy. Uh- What? True, the release of the assailants is not an immigration policy issue, but it begs the question – would the attack occurred if the White House insisted on enforcing current immigration laws?
