Vance and Rubio will have to figure out a way stay just close enough to Trump’s policies to claim them as their own if they economy improves.  Ending the Ukraine Russia conflict won’t hurt.

It would be fun to watch Newsome run on his record.  Outside of liberal strongholds, Newie would be as polarizing as Harris.  He will pivot to the middle, alienating leftists, but won’t be able to convince conservative voters he has moved on from his socialist agenda.

Interesting list. Sarah Huckabee Sanders … I always liked Mike Huckabee…he did the View show once (I only saw the one) and he was really extraordinary, these hardcore Lefties were agreeing with him halfway through the show. He basically approached it the same way JD Vance approached the Tim Walz debate.

Brian Kemp…I think he’s looking at a 2026 Senate run.

I think DeSantis’ star isn’t going to rise much. It might, but I think his day is over.

I like what I know of Governor Abbott. He’s done a great job for his state. He sure does win a lot. He’ll be 70 by the time the next presidential election rolls around, but he’ll be okay during it.

Nikki Haley will have a real shot if Trump/Vance/Rubio crashes and burns. She needs to accomplish something over the next three years, she can’t just be a crank. Hate to say it, but her best bet would be to switch to the Democrat party. Seriously.

I think it’s going to be a two-horse race, Rubio and Vance with Abbott as a possibility. Haley’s a possibility, but she needs to do something.
