Ms. Warren wants a wealth tax starting at 3% and reaching 6% on wealthiest 0.5% of all Americans.

70% of the funds generated will go for tax law enforcement.  10% is earmarked for taxpayer services.  So 7x for enforcement over services.

We’re from the government and we’re here to…destroy.

Worth repeating, that Elizabeth (That’s-Not-Funny) Warren’s plans for a wealth surtax, and my own thoughts for changing the base of the annual income tax, are poles apart.  One major difference is that costs of compliance would drop dramatically. No need for all that additional enforcement on the income tax.

Her plans have zero chance. They might start some dialog, though.

I wouldn't give you two cents for all your fancy rules if, behind them, they didn't have a little bit of plain, ordinary, everyday kindness - yeah, and a little looking out for the other fella, too.
