Rocky17ParticipantTomorrow I and you may have other thoughts but for me the most important takeaway may be that Biden lost Pennsylvania tonight big time. I saw in the recaps his statements that on one hand said he would not ban fracking but also would get rid of oil and gas by 2035 in the US.
a: Fracking will disappear along with oil and gas along with millions upon millions of jobs.
b: Energy independence will be lost once again and the cost of energy will soar into the stratosphere.
c: a and b together will destroy our economy for a very long time and the resulting energy job unemployment along with increased immigration will cause total unemployment to head back into the stratosphere, especially for minorities.
d: In addition to the loss of Pennsylvania, his stand on energy pitted two big wings of the Dem base against each other in his antagonistic statements. Some may be tempted to vote for Trump or sit this election out.

ParticipantI concur Rocky. I don’t watch debates either, it’s like Stanford Football, I care too much. Trump needed to tamper it down and it sounds like he succeeded. Biden was good but Orange one had more to lose. And he didn’t.

ParticipantI will be very surprised if Trump is not re-elected.
Biden looked frail. Tripped over words. The camera and lights are not kind to anyone of that age. You could not help but see the contrast with a trimmed down more robust Trump who got China virus, overcame it and got back to work and back to campaigning quickly. Impressive. I’d guess a lot of voters silently wonder if Biden could overcome the virus at all should he get it. There is a glaring reason why Biden campaigns so little and it was on display. He’s not up to it. And Biden can get dark. Negative. Like his running mate, he’s a downer. As the evening wore on he wore down especially with his mega gaff at the end.
To the average voter, especially young people, Biden doesn’t look like a pile of good luck just walking around.

ParticipantOf course but let’s all be honest about it. Those people who prefer her are in on the joke. Most people not. There were 3 candidates on stage last night. Two have no popular support and could never even get a whiff as a candidate. One has a lot of popular support. The presumptive President, Harris, has no popular support nor has to debate issues much less identify what she plans to do. Sounds like fiction but it’s not.
If Biden wins, the mainstream media immediately starts stories about his unfitness for office. Everyone plays their part until Kamala is sworn in.
Reality is often pathetic.
