Everybody wants their egregious errors to be considered “teachable moments.” Reminds of when Obama said that about the cops acting stupidly.
how about we call chop what it was: another gunpowder plot that failed.

funny you bring up phil Z. The police issue is the phil Z experiment.
ok, so the scope is off, UK parliament much smaller. Fewer people died in the gunpowder plot, but both were about about a functional overthrow of government. Just another rebellion. ‘Course the gunpowder plotters were drawn and quartered, so there’s that.
