Interesting moves in IQ scores

For most of the last century, IQ scores were on the rise by about three points per decade. But between 2006 and 2018, IQ scores declined in three important categories:

• Matrix reasoning (abstract visual puzzles)
• Letter and number series (pattern recognition)
• Verbal reasoning (language-based problem solving)

Scores rose in spatial reasoning (crucial for playing Fortnite).

ACT scores are at their lowest in more than 30 years. More than a quarter of U. S. adults read at the lowest proficiency levels. An AI security scientest (formerly with Google DeepMind) set out to understand the natural limits of AI…the outcome over 10 generations of LLM learnings on text produced tby their predecessors got worse with each cycle. And that’s why we’re dumbing down.
