      Great line. “mansplaining (verb): when a man whose politics you hate says anything whatsoever to a woman whose politics you love,”

      I stopped watching after both dodged four consectutive questions.  The point of these over hyped wastes of time is letting the voters hear candidates positions directly.  If moderators are not going to insist on direct  answers to questions, the event becomes nothing more than a beauty pagent.

      Senator Harris, what do you think about world peace? “Trumps against world peace and is $400M in debt.”
      VP Pence, your response.  “This administration is in favor of world peace!”

      Colossal waste of time.

      I didn’t watch any of it either.  But I’m in favor of  Whirled Peas.

      We didn’t get a lot of information from either Pence or Harris, that is true.  But look at it this way.  It is virtually a given that one of them will ascend to the presidency before the next term is up.  And I wouldn’t be surprised if one of them was President before the end of 2021.  And that’s why more than 50 million people watched the debate.

      SOt least, we were able to compare and contrast their styles.  We could read between the lines.  For example, Harris refused to say whether they would pack the court.  Answer?  Obviously, if ACB is empaneled as an associate justice of the USSC, the Democrats will attempt to pack the court.   It’s very clear.

      And when they didn’t directly respond to a question, they did reveal some information.  Pence didn’t answer the question as to whether he wants Indiana to reject abortion rights in the event that Roe v. Wade is eliminated.  He refused to answer.  Obviously, he doesn’t want abortions in Indiana, or anywhere else, and will work in that direction.

      As for personal style…Harris reminds me of Hillary Clinton in some ways.

        I think I’m going to owe you a bottle of wine. Send me your address.

        Here's a toast with one last pour, may it last forever and a minute more;

      The lack of great moderators is due to the lack of great journalists, at least any great journalists who might conceivably be chosen by the Presidential Debate Commission (or whatever they are called).

      And Mick, I’d be willing to bet a considerable sum that, if he is elected, Trump will not die of natural causes before 2021.  I will be concerned about him dying from other causes however.

      I think you saw the presidential debate when you saw Harris vs. Pence.  I don’t think either Trump or Biden survives much past 2021, tbh, at least not as President
