Interesting read about a resignation from the Durham team. A professional prosecutor experienced in the area of political malfeasance, a prosecutor who returned from the private sector to work with Durham, resigns quietly as a time line impacted by Covid-19 bumps up against DoJ “practices” governing release of politically sensitive information during the election season.

Fascinating to watch this play out in light of the recent reporting Rocky shared about Mueller’s prosecutors wiping phones.

Seems like a principled stand.  Or, just a political one. It will be played both ways.

I mean, it’s not every day a prosecutor resigns in protest because an investigation is asked to wrap too fast to uncover all the massive malfeasance and ensure it gets to the crooks at the top. They probably only have the goods on low level people and are making their way to the top, but will run out of time.  Her resignation proves that the conspiracy to obstruct Trump is so vast that the investigation won’t be deep enough if they wrap before the election.

It’s a tragedy and I can’t wait to read her book.
