Mick1Participant…not against Biden, and not against Harris…despite the fact that 80% of the public is clamoring for someone other than Biden or Harris.
Part of me wonders if Newsom (a) is happy to bide his time, knowing that Biden is too old and Harris is too…awful, (b) that there’s a chance that party elders draft him, (c) that he hasn’t impressed with some of his San Francisco policies, and they are in fact holding him back, (d) he’s waiting until next election, (e) he secretly thinks the Republicans will win in 2024.

LegendKeymasterI’m no political strategist but I can’t see how Newsome can win. He’s a child of nepotism that has left a wake of destruction. Add to that the hard fact that non Californians are skeptical of Californian governance, and I can’t see him winning Ohio and Pennsylvania against a Republican like Nikki Hayley or desantis.

Mick1ParticipantTurns out, 28% of Americans don’t like either Republicans or Democrats…and that percentage is increasing.

Mick1ParticipantSemafor thinks Nikki Haley has hit her ceiling. I have a young relative who is likely to vote for Trump (again), and while he’s lukewarm on most Republicans, he can’t stand Nikki Haley.
Nikki Haley is riding a charming, focused, and consistent campaign to third place | Semafor
