Rocky17ParticipantHe has to win 2 of the 4 I mentioned in the Midwest. Difficult to see how Biden wins PA with a 700,000 vote deficit unless they steal it. Michigan is closer but same scenario applies. James appears able to hold on which will mean the Senate remains at 53-47 unless somehow the two GA candidates lose runoffs in December which will not happen. Collins won easily and Tillis has a safe lead barring fraud.
Loss of Wisconsin and Arizona hurt Trump but I suspect that corrupt voter registrar in Maricopa did some shenanigans. Nevada will not be won by Trump. Again more Clark County shenanigans IMO suspicious opinion.

LegendKeymasterHard to tell what to think at the moment. I’d like to say I like Trump’s chances, but with all of the “flexibility” around voting rules locally, who really knows?
Stalin’s famous quote holds sway: It’s not who votes but who counts the votes that matters.
It’s a disgrace that we don’t have some sort of secure voting system that tallies instantaneously. We’ve touted blockchain for years and this seems tailor made for it, but nah, paper ballots and stamps that some idiots probably still lick the sticky side of.

cardcrimsonParticipantIt’s over for Trump. The betting odds are now 5-1 in favor of Biden. Even the talking heads on Fox are commenting that Covid killed Trump. His poor handling of the pandemic, at least as hammered home by Biden and the MSM, really hurt.
My opinion is that the pandemic hurt Trump in a different way. No one is excited about Biden and turnout at polling stations would have been disastrous for the Dems. However, with all the mail in ballots, and subsequent ballot harvesting, the Dems did a great job of pushing that effort and getting unexcited Dems to vote (one way or another).

ParticipantTrump’s handling of the pandemic was fine. His failing was taking on the role of spokesperson, putting him in the MSM crosshairs.
Bottom line, he had to beat MSM and Biden. A flip of 30,000 votes in Nevada, Wisconsin and Michigan, Trump wins again.
This might end up decided in the House.

Genuine RealistParticipantThe Covid pandemic should have made Trump’s road to a second term a lot smoother. The pandemic has no allies – it’s not as if there is anyone who’ll be offended. All he really had to do was say ‘there, there’ and champion various remedial actions. He doesn’t have to take a stand. Most of the actual executive decisions are local.
Instead, in classic Trumpian fashion, he descended to personalities. A lot of the criticism was grossly unfair – the MSM has been rabid. But that’s the heat in this particular kitchen. In four years, Trump never got used to that.
So instead of genial neutrality, encouraging everybody, there he is, sneering, catcalling, taking issue with stuff that should be non-controversial. And thus Donald Trump manages to create an issue where there is none, and shoots himself in the foot.
A classic example of one of Murphy’s Laws, that nature always sides with the hidden flaw. Not that this one is all that hidden. Trump couldn’t put his narcissism to one side, even when all he had to do to prevail was shut up.
I wouldn't give you two cents for all your fancy rules if, behind them, they didn't have a little bit of plain, ordinary, everyday kindness - yeah, and a little looking out for the other fella, too.

LegendKeymasterYeah. Trump is the only narcissist in this game.
Im w cc. I think Trump is done. Michigan moving hard toward Biden probably seals it, but they ARE still counting.
while I’m no fan of Biden as president, if he is indeed the president elect then we get some sense of normalcy in the White House, along with a relative beat down of the so called blue wave and the senate firewall still in place.
the market likes that.

ParticipantTrump is not done. There are 68,000,000 people who voted for him so far and want an accounting for every state and vote which may be in question. Because news media says a state is won means nothing if there were illegal activities. The vote is what the secretary of each state certifies after the count and challenges. The entire country needs to understand that the results were fair and conclusive going forward. Win or lose. These last states have an unmistakable and verifiable stench.
As to the normalcy we all crave in the White House just keep in mind presumptive President Joe Biden’s resume. Particularly with regard to China and the “family business”. Not good. What’s worse is that as VP, you can be sure the FBI and CIA knew everything about him and looked the other way. Toxic brew.
Let’s not even get into Kamala Harris.

Coincidentally, I have about a bottle and a half of that smelly stuff sitting in my liquor cubby as I write this, and I will resent you for associating my enjoyment of Laphroaig with somebody’s enjoyment of Kamala.
