cardcrimsonParticipantThough they have no real right to be in the US legally, separating children from parents who are seeking “asylum” is troubling. Granted their home countries don’t want them, nor does Mexico from where they try to enter the US quasi illegally, but that just doesn’t matter.
I propose that the powers that be set up “Immigrant Family Reunification Centers” across America to house those immigrant families recently reconnected to help them acclimate to life in the US. With unlimited funding and widespread support, the task should be relatively easy. I’d task the agency to start buying properties where families could start their new lives together.
To find the absolute best locations for these new immigrants, I’d first look in the many neighborhoods where Maxine Waters owns homes. I’d bet several really nice properties are always coming on the market. Next, I look at the neighborhoods where Feinstein and Pelosi live. Gated communities in Malibu, Calabasas, and Beverly Hills would be fine locations as well for immigrants to experience the benefits of an American lifestyle–let the Hollywood elites enjoy the experience of undocumented immigrants they so much want the rest of us to enjoy. For those immigrants that want to experience life on the East Coast, lots of communities in the Hamptons, and those near the Clintons, the Schumers, and the Cuomos would make fine centers for family reunification.
Mansions in these locations could easily house several families, and even more so when you count the servant quarters. Seems to be a win win win for all involved.
Trump’s a real estate guy, I’m sure he could easily figure a way to make this happen. . . .

cardcrimsonParticipantJust read that a judge in California has ordered the administration to reunite families within 30 days. Didn’t realize that judges could become dictators, but hey, so be it. I’d start finding “relocation centers” within his or her neighborhood immediately.

CliffSpeedParticipantLast night Victor Davis Hanson suggested using colleges as relocation centers. Stanford is fairly empty right now, and it is already a sanctuary campus.
