rjnwmillParticipantThanks for the link. Begs the question Lex, are you still persuaded that the Feds should be hands off?

ParticipantLex is wrong on the hands off stuff. The situation was NOT improving. Kate Brown, Ted Wheeler, Merkley, Wyden and the PDX city council are responsible for escalation.
News flash for the feckless fookers in Portland – those federal agents have always been in PDX. DHS, DOJ, Commerce, Coast Gaurd and a few others have sworn law enforcement officers working in Portland, and were here well before the riots started.

ParticipantWrong? Me? Never! Although had the Feds simply surrounded the perimeter of Fed property to protect it, I could “support “ that. FWLTIW.
Again – my criticism with having the feds as engaged as they were and are is that it has given an “enemy“ to the mayor and governor which provides them cover. Dawg is right as to who is to blame . But by bringing in the Feds, the Mayor etc can blame Trump. Which is exactly what they want to do.
I did not comment originally because I wanted other people to do so first. My view is this video should be shown on 60 minutes, CNN, ABC ‘s 20/20 , Fox and every other major outlet that it can get on. Why? Because the Officer brings home the fact that what is happening in Portland now has little or nothing with Black Lives Matter and everything to do with a bunch of anarchists simply wanting to bring havoc. That is the message that the police officer drives home and the one that needs to be heard.

rjnwmillParticipantThat must make Officer Jackson the second clean, articulate African American man?
Joe, Joe, Joe; can you comment on this when you’re down in basement? Can your thoughtful and empathetic response be displayed on the teleprompter?

LegendKeymasterthe Portland protests look mostly white, and officer Jackson said the white protesters had primarily caused some real problems for him.
At what point do we finally remove the cloak of “racial grievance” from protests like this and start knocking the white college students’ heads? I know that’s profiling, but I just watched video of Portland mayor ted Wheeler navigating the crowd and all the people yelling are white guys.
when does the black community say they don’t need this sort of help? Maybe they have and I’m on the wrong channel.

ParticipantOddly enough the Mayor of SF has started to echo you as well as have community leaders in NY. I think it is humorous from afar to see the mayor of Portland took some tear gas last night while getting his riot surf on.
