It’s always been interesting to me how Presidents regain popularity after their presidency. This goes for the good and effective presidents (Reagan, Bush 2) and even the bad presidents (Nixon, Carter) and ineffective presidents (G. H. W. Bush, Ford). At some point, like old hookers, they reclaim a positive image, dignity and respect.

Except Bill Clinton. For some reason, his Democratic Party hates his guts. He’s less liked now than when he left office a quarter century ago. It came to a head when nine Democrats on Comer’s committee voted to enforce a subpoena on Pres. Clinton and send him to jail if he didn’t comply.

I get some of it. The economic gamble on free trade, Wall Street, digital startups were staggeringly unequal and led to civic unraveling.

      Democrats are divorcing Bill Clinton
