      Over 21 years he started 690 games and completed 303.  5300 innings. Rarely does anyone pitch a complete game today. Harvey Haddix once pitched 12 perfect innings.

      Growing up I was a Brooklyn Dodgers fanatic and later Red Sox fan and Perry seemed to pitch every game that was televised then.  Or his brother Jim.

      Lost interest in baseball years ago, but Perry with his spitter was a pretty amazing physical specimen.
