      The situation in the Middle East just keeps getting darker. The mess in the House isn’t any better.

      On the Israel thread on the Cardboard, a pretty far leftist posted:

      “Very dangerous moment in the Middle East. I am sure Biden will counsel for caution, but I just don’t know much sway he will have.”
      I really wanted to respond: “I’m sure he’ll have a lot of sway, I just pray he won’t fall down”
      Surely, I’d be banned for that one. . . .

      Now that’s funny.  Colbert would be off late night TV if not for Trump. Trump provided a lot of folder for Colbert, which he fed to his audience with equal portions of hate and vitriol.
