The rise in Covid of late has be really depressing. A look at the world graph, is stunning and sobering. The EU is an unmitigated disaster; the rest of Europe not faring much better. Surprisingly, the US is much better in comparison, but Thanksgiving and Christmas certainly won’t help. Masks, social distancing, role modeling the Euros, all less effective than expected. Bummer.

Thanks for the link. It’s fascinating and sad.

This article is one of the few that actually attempts to quantify the phantom data.  I can promise you that many, many more deaths will be uncovered when all is said and done. Only totalitarian states like China will hide their deaths forever.

And don’t forget, our government pays hospitals more for covid patients and covid related deaths than those not afflicted.

There may or may not have been fraud in the election, but there certainly is fraud in the reporting of Covid. Money talks.

The fraud issue in the U.S. is the fraud of COVID deaths “with” the virus vs. “because of” the virus.  It’s a respiratory disease that is transmitted very easily… a lot of people who are already sick have ended up getting COVID, and subsequently dying of their original disease.   While I’m fine with COVID being considered the straw that broke the camel’s back, I’m not at all fine with the insinuation (and it is insinuated) that COVID is the black death all by itself.

A minor proportion of U.S. “COVID” deaths will be found to have been because of COVID.  It will still be a lot of people, and I’m sensitive to that, but the numbers of deaths as recorded will be proven to be substantially off once history is written.

Why is this important?  For me it’s important because the propaganda and fear mongering in all likelihood changed the political direction of the country by making Trump a one term president.  I firmly believe that history will judge the Trump administration’s response to COVID fairly kindly, and it will judge the “science” of death reporting, testing, and masks, curfews, and lockdowns quite harshly.

I’m too young for it, but as I understand it, the body counts on the evening news turned the populace squarely against the Vietnam war even when the U.S. was clearly winning in Vietnam.  The same will be said of the Trump admin’s efforts.   The body count–padded with many many comorbid deaths–did the administration in…to the glee of the liberal media.

The Vietnam body count is a pretty good analogy.  When I was in boot camp in 1969 I always took the time every weekend to get a newspaper to check the weekly body count..  (400-700/week). I was 11B20 and had a vested interest to say the least.  It was like watching a movie in slow motion in which you were to soon make an appearance.  This virus is similar to watching a movie in slow motion.  You watch the death count and you know it’s going to climb.  The mind tricks you into the the faulty association that cases rise and the death rate climbs too.   I was telling an infectious disease MD recently at lunch that many people associate Covid with death.  They are certain that they will be on a vent and die if they get it.  He looked at me in disbelief.

For history it would be better to refer to this virus as the Wuhan virus.  That’s what it is.  Born, bred and executed in a lab from Wuhan.  Named Covid by WHO to sugar coat it for China.

Trump has given us peace and prosperity for the last 4 years which is what I voted for.  But History will show that the virus got him.  I don’t believe in coincidences and I just find that there are too many associated with the Wuhan virus and the politics of it all right through the election.  We now know what a biological attack could look like regardless of this being intentional or not. It’s a different world.

cardcrimson, I’m not so sure about the fraud claim regarding Covid. I understand the incentive and the reason for suspicion. But here’s a counter argument.

My takeaway is that there may be some grifting on the margins, but probably not a massive inflation of statistics.

Deliberate fraud aside, have you seen any information on the proven “accuracy” of the various testing modalities themselves?  Are the figures impacted significantly by false positives or false negatives?

The link is from April. Haven’t looked for a study, as I’m sure we won’t see one for awhile (see legend’s post). Lots of anecdotal cases out there, where there’s smoke, there’s usually fire.

Still, the death rate in Europe is stunning, and I’ve no idea how they pay. . . .
