According to one source, the initial vote was 7-5 to play, with the five original dissenters being UCLA, Stanford, Cal, Washington and Colorado.
Among the disparate opinions were Utah apparently threatening to leave the conference for the Big 12 and USC threatening to go independent for the season.
The schedule will consist of each team playing seven games, including the Pac-12 Championship Game on Friday, Dec. 18th. Every other program in the conference will play in essentially a seventh “bowl-like” game.
We will play UCLA, Oregon, Oregon State, Washington State, Washington and Cal with a 7th game to be determined by record.
It’s uncertain if the season plan of 7 games will allow a Pac-12 school to be considered for the College Football Playoffs, which are announced on Dec. 20th.
