Ironic. The anti-Catholic bias of the Democratic Party has become so intense that JFK could not be nominated these days.

I wouldn't give you two cents for all your fancy rules if, behind them, they didn't have a little bit of plain, ordinary, everyday kindness - yeah, and a little looking out for the other fella, too.

I don’t think that’s entirely true. Democrats tend to have some differing views on things like abortion, but I never got the sense they are anti-Catholic. Joe Biden is Catholic, Nancy Pelosi is Catholic, John Kerry is Catholic, and a recent poll suggested that Democrats are far more supportive of the current Pope than Republicans. I agree that Catholics aren’t one of the primary groups in the Democrats wheelhouse, so to speak, but I don’t see an anti-Catholic attitude. If you had said Evangelicals, on the other hand, I would probably agree with you.

I’m surprised that the Nazi Pope did not excommunicate Pelosi for various stands on public issues.
