Okay, a trans man from Japan, Kumi Yokoyama, is playing women’s soccer for the Washington Spirit, and has just come out.

If trans girls are to be allowed to play in high school girls competitions, why aren’t they/them (preferred pronoun of Kumi) playing in the men’s professional league?

Twenty years from now, will women have to return to the gender dictated roles of my parents day and age?  How can they demonstrate strength, resolve and leadership broadly through mass media; serve as role models?  How do they differentiate themselves in sports in direct competition with men?

Thank goodness for Food Network. It may be the last venue for competitive women?

I don’t see that happening, for better or for worse, the LGBTQ+ spectrum will dictate what is acceptable and what is not, in every segment of society.  I’m not saying that’s good, bad or indifferent, it just is.
