Wealth redistribution dictated by the Millenials

I don’t know about your experiences, but it’s been interesting for me to watch the Millenials.  Alone among the past six generations, they are divorced from connecting effort and accomplishment with reward.  The ultimate effect is that they have a massive, envy-driven urge to redistribute wealth.

The Greatest Generation and the generation immediately prior included both my great grandfather and grandfather.  The economic strides and lack of a safety net meant that, almost literally, you ate what you killed.  The subsequent Silent Generation understood that if they played the game by the rules, they would be able to enjoy the fruit of the American dream.  The Baby Boomers took it a step further and expanded that dream.  All four were capitalist to the core.

The Baby Boomers were was also the last generation to have a better life than their parents.  The next generation, Generation Z, dealt with the disappointment of fewer resources, more debts, higher interest rates, fewer opportunities and the fact that the Boomers had all the companies, the money, the senior leadership positions.  Still, GenZ understood that, while they collectively they won’t do as well as the Boomers, there was and is still plenty of opportunity – for them.

The Millenials are at the back of the pack in all of those respects.  They saw the other generations get rich, and they were taught in schools and by each other that envy was sacrosanct, the ultimate emotion.  They wouldn’t succeed in the way that the other generations did, but equivalence of outcome is what matters, not the disasters that occurred in the Socialist/Communist countries for the last century.  These are people who are educated, yet foolish; intelligent, yet lacking basic common sense; desiring a college education, but avoiding STEM majors, pro-diversity and anti-white.  And they’re nearly 40.

AOC is as representative of their group as anyone.  Her lack of knowledge is commonly known and horrifying, even to Democratic leadership.  So I anticipate that, within 25 years, there will be a great recentering of wealth, with the subsequent social upheaval.  What will be amusing to watch is that the Millenials don’t understand the two basic lies behind redistribution; first, that mandated equivalence of outcome not tied to effort and achievement leads to a profoundly unsuccessful society, and second, that if you don’t reward successful people, the living standard will crater very quickly.

I presume you realize that if you vote for Joe Biden you will contribute to accelerating the momentum into the black hole.  Will he (or more accurately, will his overlords allow him to) take decisive action against the manifestations of The Resistance?  There are damn few politicians today with the nerve to confront the howling pack.  It is the essence of Donald Trump.  His willingness to block progress toward the world of Orwell’s 1984 is now unusual.  Look at what his OMB director did:

It has come to the President’s attention that Executive Branch agencies have spent millions of taxpayer dollars to date “training” government workers to believe divisive, anti-American propaganda.

For example, according to press reports, employees across the Executive Branch have been required to attend trainings where they are told that “virtually all White people contribute to racism” or where they are required to say that they “benefit from racism.” According to press reports, in some cases these training have further claimed that there is racism embedded in the belief that America is the land of opportunity or the belief that the most qualified person should receive a job.

These types of “trainings” not only run counter to the fundamental beliefs for which our Nation has stood since its inception, but they also engender division and resentment within the Federal workforce. We can be proud that as an employer, the Federal government has employees of all races, ethnicities, and religions. We can be proud that Americans from all over the country seek to join our workforce and dedicate themselves to public service. We can be proud of our continued efforts to welcome all individuals who seek to serve their fellow Americans as Federal employees. However, we cannot accept our employees receiving training that seeks to undercut our core values as Americans and drive division within our workforce.

The President has directed me to ensure that Federal agencies cease and desist from using taxpayer dollars to fund these divisive, un-American propaganda training sessions.”

The Boomers (my generation) are the cause of much, if not most, if not nearly all directly or indirectly, the rot that has taken place in America.  We are the reason that the nation teeters on the cusp of ruin.  We are hugely to blame for the depredation and lack of values of our offspring.  We had too much material success and collapsed into paroxysms of self-indulgent waste and intellectual masturbation.

Boomsday is a novel by Christopher Buckley that is a treatment of this inter-generational revolt.  Like many of Buckley’s books it is a satire, but it is increasingly looking like non-fiction.  😛
