That was the hubris-dripping statement made by Ruth Bader Ginsburg when Obama asked her to step down. She was already past her sell-by date when Obama wanted to name a replacement Justice. Of course, she was drunk with power, stayed too long, was ineffective, and Trump named her replacement rather than Obama.

Same is/was true for Biden, as Beto O’Rourke pointed out this morning. He stayed too long and ruined the country (in the Dems’ eyes…saved the country in Repub eyes). BTW, O’Rourke confirms that Dem party insiders were covering up Biden’s cognitive decline.

Biden ‘Failed’ America Running For Second Term, Beto Says

Of course, it’s easy to demand that people step down when you don’t have and never will have any power, like Beto O’Rourke. I love Beto’s comment that “our kids and grandkids will have to pay the price for this.” Yeah, with safer streets, better security, better economy, etc.

The answer to Judge Ginsburg’s question, by the way, is “Just about anyone.” I realize she intended it as a mic-drop comment, but at her advanced age and decrepitude, there were likely dozens of jurists, left and right, who could have outperformed her. But, like Biden, she stayed too long. And, like Biden, the Dems lost because of it.

Power is a drug, and politicians are addicted to it. And what a great way to exercise power when you weren’t actually elected? Find a doddering old man and use the auto-signature machine to replace his will and intentions with your own. And Presto! The country is run for four years by unelected Progressives who drive their agenda and won’t allow anyone to speak with the President.

Interesting to read differing accounts about who knew what and when regarding Biden.  Jake Tapper’s indignation is laughable.

So here is one more point- 14 months ago, Biden gets a clean bill of health.  Today, he has stage 4 Prostate cancer.  Nothing to see here, move along.

On one level I’m a little sad for Bident that he couldn’t get more sympathy for his condition longer ago.  I mean that sincerely, since he has to have been under treatment for it for a year or two, but couldn’t reveal it lest he be asked to step aside.

On second thought, it’s a real shame a guy can’t step aside when it’s time.  The poor guy was addlebrained and cancer-ridden at the end.  His friends and family are evil.
