I think that Trump looked very weak in this one.  Because he blusters so much, it was conspicuous how tame he was being.

Certainly feeds the conspiracy theorists.

Obama looked weak, but at least was on the right side of the issues. Trump on the other hand has gone full capitulation. I guess if you can’t beat ’em, join ’em.

As a reminder, these are the guys that invaded Crimea, shot down an airliner, probably poisoned some folks in Britain, support Iran, and are screwing with our democratic institutions.

Granted Trump misspoke at the least. But help me, what exactly did he capitulate to? What did he give up?

I think you nail it. Trump forgot that domestic politics end at the border. Embarrassing. And I say this as someone who tolerates Trump because I think he is stirring things that need to be stirred.
