I have no sense for the relative importance to the NBA of the US market vs the Chinese market, but over the last five years it seems that perhaps they’ve turned east?
The league and the marquee players are acting incoherently and doing things that could shrink the reach of their product domestically. It will be interesting to see if this plays out through the leagues media contracts.
