Here is the letter from the whistleblower’s attorney. Short and sweet.

      Click to access IRS-WB-Letter-5-15-23.pdf

(Sorry, the letter is two pages. For some reason I can only link page one.)

They’ve “informed” congressional leadership and senior members of the administrative state broadly.

If the law is as straightforward as suggested by the attorneys, I’m hard pressed to advance a straw man to explain the redeployment decision.

The ghost of Elliot Richardson is missing in action. Why wouldn’t IRS management tell the DoJ to take a long walk on a short pier and resign?  Who would rely on the, “I was ordered to do it” defense?

I don’t think anyone is surprised when the government investigators fail to act appropriately. The stupidly -named “Crossfire Hurricane” apparently was poorly conducted to absolutely no one’s surprise.

Mick, I thought the thread was about the IRS whistleblower’s reporting to Congress and his recent removal from the Biden tax issues assignment. Sorry for the thread drift if I was confused.

When you need to reassign that certain someone but they are protected from on high, the answer is “restructure.”

Sometimes it’s clear that there is no difference between the federal bureaucracy and the mafia.

This is the second time Biden has removed the people involved investigating Hunter. The first time was in Ukraine where as VP, he basically blackmailed the government to fire the guy, or they won’t get the funding he was promising. He then bragged about it afterwards. . ..

I remember that. I was flat out stunned that Biden’s blatant blackmail, though made publicly on television, wasn’t called out by the mainstream press.

What am I saying? Of course the mainstream press gave him a free pass.
