Mick1ParticipantGallup is reporting that Joe Biden’s third-year approval rating is the worst of any president since Jimmy Carter in the post-WWII era:
The worst two on that list (Trump and Carter) weren’t elected. #3 was Obama, #4 was Reagan, #5 was Clinton, all reelected.
Biden’s Third-Year Job Approval Average of 39.8% Second Worst (gallup.com)
Meanwhile, Biden is dealing with hecklers from…the Left:

Mick1ParticipantNBC News Poll shows Biden with a 37% approval rating, another new low, the lowest by a sitting president since George W. Bush’s second term.
Biden trails Trump by 22% on the economy , 30+ percent on who would be better handling immigration, 16% short of Trump on competent and effective. In 2020, that last one Biden had a 9% lead over Trump, a 25% advantage.
His approval rating is especially low among Latinos (35%), voters aged 18-34 (29%) and independents (27%)
Biden’s best hope is that Trump gets convicted of a felony, in which case Biden goes ahead by…2%.

ParticipantDoesn’t matter. People will still vote Democrat once the fear mongering kicks in. The economy was worse in 2022, and the red wave fizzled.

Mick1ParticipantRight, but presidential elections are different from mid-term elections. Turnout will be higher in presidential elections (by 17% on average) and more ideological. It tends to be a more educated turnout. They are also less racially diverse.

Mick1ParticipantUkraine. Immigration. Hamas vs. Israel. And Gallup says that Biden’s approval rating drops to 38%…
Biden’s Job Approval Edges Down to 38%
For me, it’s none of those things. For me, it’s the economy. I stipulate that every administration games the economic numbers to an extent — they futz around with the mix of the economic “basket” that is supposed to be representative of the average purchases of the average family…but this just takes the cake. Food prices have risen stratospherically. Gas prices are no picnic. I live in a modest, 1,800 square foot home and our energy bill is $1,400 a month, having risen a ridiculous amount. Our insurance has skyrocketed. Everything we buy…EVERYTHING…has risen dramatically. It just doesn’t “feel” right to me.
I understand the underlying factors, particularly the increase in both M1, M3 and velocity of the money supply. More money chasing fewer goods at a faster rate = inflation, seen and unseen.

Mick1ParticipantSomewhat interestingly, California’s Gen Z and Millenials are starting to sour on the benefits of illegal immigration, based upon a recent survey.

rjnwmillParticipantAs the old saying goes, “you can run but you can’t hide”.
It seems to me, the single issue most important issue to Biden’s upcoming replacement on the ticket is age/infirmity/senility. He and his handlers can’t lie their way out of the inevitable. And each day it gets worse and the availability of an alternative narrative is diminished…as is Biden.
Here's a toast with one last pour, may it last forever and a minute more;

Mick1ParticipantBiden is really, really old, and Trump is really, really dangerous.
Bottom line is that Trump is ahead in Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.

LegendKeymasterHard for me to see how Trump’s actual policy agenda is more dangerous than the current agenda.

Mick1ParticipantBiden is a wee bit stressed over the upcoming election and his failing poll numbers. Democrats are alarmed (as well they should be). Biden’s 38% approval rating at this stage in the calendar is lower than that of the last three presidents who went on to lose re-election: Trump (48%), George H.W. Bush (39%) and Jimmy Carter (43%), according to Gallup survey data.

What kills me is that Biden thinks he should get credit for adding jobs, when it was the idiot Dem policy to shut down the economy and lose 30 million jobs in the first place.

LegendKeymasterAmazing to see that Trump was at 48% approval at this point in 2020. Then, the pandemic took off, Dems encouraged riots in the streets, and Trump was turned into evil incarnate by the press.

Mick1ParticipantBiden has the worst 13th quarter job approval rating of all presidents since Eisenhower (who had the best at 73.2%). Second best was Reagan (54.5%), third best was Nixon (53.7%)
Biden’s the worst, at 38.7%. Second worst was G. H. W. Bush at 41.8%. Third worst, interestingly, was Obama at 45.9%. Trump was 46.8%, and this was juuuust after COVID had started.
