ParticipantErstwhile presidential candidate attends Trump rally and has a picture taken with a bunch of other Trumpies, none wearing masks.
Admitted to a hospital yesterday with Covid 19.
He must have been born in Florida.

ParticipantT.C., did you follow the LA chumps announcement about the results from their oh so effective contact tracing program?
Cain & the 6,500 rally attendees made high risk personal decisions encouraged by Señor Orange. Biden, democratic mayors, democratic members of Congress, antifa & BLM LEADERSHIP did nothing to discourage risky personal behavior.
I guess black lives don’t matter a wit if there are anti Orange political points to be garnered. (Meanwhile the LA Dunce is shutting beaches on 4th of July.).
Silent, senile Joe still your man after he lost his voice about every topic but anti Orange bs? Is he lying? Irresponsibile? Driven exclusively by Joe’s self interest…and contrary to your and my health and better interests? Leadership? Uniting us under his flag of fear and infection?
He’s all yours TC…you treasonous SoB!

You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times." It was all true what he was saying. And yet, I

ParticipantFloridians wear masks when necessary. Others in west Marin are forced to wear them for appearance considerations or the comfort of others by friends and associates.
I just had to take a Covid test because one of my card playing friends came down with it. 7 of us (we played twice a week at our CC’s men’s card room) who played poker with him in very close proximity and our wives and families and close friends all took the test to be safe. Over 20 people.
All of us tested negative. So tell me again how virulent this disease is? In this instance, we were all shocked that no one tested positive. Still spinning that one around in my head. He has zero idea how he contracted it since we have all been doing the social distancing thing and wearing masks in places where people are closely packed. We all trusted each other to be super careful. I am the youngest at age 70. Also the best looking.

ParticipantRocky, please don’t get cocky about this. My brother tested negative for it and he almost died of it. Of course the antibody test he got two weeks ago during his latest covid related hospitalization came back positive. the tests are not very good yet. don’t get it and you should have been more careful.

Saw that you posted similar on tos. Don’t go there very often since I was booted from the Covid forum. Got a good laugh on the thread with the video of the unstable woman ripping apart a mask display at Target, especially when the responsibility was blamed on Fox News, that Fox had driven this type of behavior.
Unbelievable.

ParticipantYeah. I won’t name names, but there is one person on there who thinks his shit don’t stink and posts a bunch of crap. Covid and football. He’s an expert on everything. Just ask him. Course, I can’t respond. That would violate the Terry Rule.
I actually like that the board is apolitical. Except, of course, it isn’t……

ParticipantI’ll be interested in T.C.’s thoughts on this Fauci pronouncement. Seems to directly contradict policy pronouncements from state & local officials.
I know the Orange One is to blame. T.C. has recently castigated him for following Faucci’s advice. Thanks T.C. I heard it here first!

Wait. He was supposed to be the foremost expert on infectious diseases with a lifetime of experience. So when he said on February 17th, that masks won’t protect you (though they may protect someone from you) and that store bought cloth masks are worthless, we weren’t suppose to believe him?
Ironically, to your point earlier that the virus is aerosolized, the store bought cloth masks and even the surgical masks may indeed be worthless. Frankly, we are still in the Dark Ages of Covid. . . .

T.C., am I now to believe anything said re Covid prior to February 17 is exempt from analysis/criticism? Faucci sí, the Orange One, no? I think I’ve got it now, the blatant hypocrisy of a double standard in the bashing of Trump is every citizens sober obligation. That’s probably why it’s appropriate to consider him disqualified because of his prior acts, “…lies, racism, denigrating the disabled, denigrating women, cheating on his wife with a hooker/porno star.” A standard neither you or I would meet.
It’s your choice T.C. It’s okay to vote Biden. It’s not a matter of right or wrong. All I can do is wish you good luck with it. But don’t try to explain/justify personal prejudice.

ParticipantDisagree. It is wrong to vote for a traitor who is a racist and protects depictions of other traitors. May not be right to vote for Biden either. I guess Trump, if he has studied the issue at all, is a proponent of States Rights over human rights. Perhaps he even has a white hood in a closet at Trump Towers.

Now tarring him with the sins of the father? That seems lazy. With the generational attitude changes during our lifetimes, I imagine you and I could make an argument that our parents were racists; certainly by woke standards. That doesn’t mean that we are…unless our name is Trump? Further, I doubt the Orange One could have worked effectively with the trades in N.Y. if he was an overt racist?
And please consider all this crap in context. Does it strike you that this narrative is eerily similar to the James Byrd advertisements that were run in the 2000 election cycle? Bush was smeared because he opposed hate crime legislation in Texas as governor. He was of the opinion that Texas didn’t need said “tougher” legislation. His position is perhaps plausible as two of the Byrd defendants received the needle, the other a life sentence. But the NAACP ran the Bush is racist campaign during the election cycle because of his opinion on that legislation. Perhaps a leap there. All this as Biden declares, “If you don’t vote for me, you ain’t black!” Tell me, who’s making the overtly racist appeal here? And why during an election cycle?

ParticipantI hope you buy the niece’s book. What an exemplary human being is Trump.
I had a curious thought this morning. Perhaps a taste of true socialism is what the USA needs. But it will be a slow process and old guys will just fade away before it is here. The kids think they want it so let them deal with it.

I don’t want socialism until I’m no longer a net tax payer. Then? Socialism is fine.

Yeah, but to look at the murder accusations against Trump on this one you wouldn’t know it.
It’s fair to say he could have been more careful, but damn at the politics on this one.

Participant[spoiler title="RIP HERMAN CAIN READ THIS"]
[
He won’t have three funerals.
He won’t be given a gold casket.
He won’t be flown all over the United States.
He won’t lie in state at the Capitol rotunda.
He won’t get much mention from the liberal news media.
He won’t receive military honor guards.
No former presidents will give a eulogy. No media coverage for three hours during prime daytime TV.His name is Herman Cain. He was a conservative, Christian, black American who was raised by a mother who was a cleaning woman and domestic worker (read that as a maid), and a father who was a barber and a janitor. The senior Cain later worked three jobs to build a house for his family.
Herman Cain, the son, rose from nothing to become an astute and respected business man.
At 36, he was assigned in the 1980s to analyze and manage 400 Burger King stores in the Philadelphia area. His success at Burger King prompted Pillsbury to appoint him president and CEO of another subsidiary, Godfather’s Pizza. In 1988, Cain, Ronald B. Gartlan, and a group of investors bought Godfather’s from Pillsbury. After he left Godfather’s, he was on the board of directors of Aquila, Inc., Nabisco, Whirlpool, Reader’s Digest, and AGCO, Inc. The list goes on and on.
Herman Cain was a conservative icon. Beloved in Republican politics. He should have been the first black President.
Herman Cain was successful in all aspects of life. He was a business genius—BUT—he was a conservative in a country where a black man, a successful black man, dare not take that path.
Rest In heavenly peace, Herman Cain. Thank you for your contributions to America. Your life undoubtedly mattered to your family and friends but also to millions of Americans you never knew.
FYI: I #loathe the media.
Herman Cain; 1945-2020
