KeymasterIt finds no political bias on the part of the FBI. It also includes this text exchange.
“One example cited in the new report is an exchange of texts between Strzok and Page on Aug. 8, 2016. Page questioned whether Trump would become president. Strzok replied: “No. No he’s not. We’ll stop it.””
My head hurts with cognitive dissonance. No political bias, but a senior agent texting that he will stop the election of a candidate. Yikes.

Legend
KeymasterThe report spends a lot of time on the topic of the Weiner laptop and how long the FBI knew about it (weeks before Comey ultimately informed congress). The report cites Comey as being worried, once he found out about the laptop, that without disclosing the new finding he would be delegitimizing the upcoming Clinton administration. He therefore was insubordinate by notifying congress about the newly reopened investigation.
An alternate theory is that his direct subordinates sat on the laptop for weeks (a fact cited by the IG as “troubling”) in order to ensure no break in momentum for Clinton, and to hem in Comey, who they reasonably could have thought would not announce new information right before the election. Comey, who we now know is a self righteous Boy Scout to his own detriment, decided to go against protocol and to save his own integrity by disclosing to congress. In doing so, he hurt Clinton, but probably no more than he would have hurt her by disclosing the same weeks ahead of the election.
The question all goes back to the July 5 Press conference. If comey keeps his mouth shut then, he never has a need to do subsequent disclosures.
Sad!

ParticipantNot much new or surprising in the report but I agree wholeheartedly with PL that Wray`s confounding statement of “no bias” does not seem to square very well with the facts.
The only other extremely odd thing is that Strozck still has a position with the FBI.
If nothing else, there should be some kind of investigation into the higher ups in the DOJ and Obama administration who orchestrated the entire thing and assisted in the implementation because they certainly were not agnostic.
