Here’s the poll results:

1. Steve Hilton (R), 16%
2. Nightmare Katie Porter (D), 15%
3. Chad Bianco (R), 11%
4. Antonio Villaraigosa (D), 5%
5. Xavier Becerra (D), 5%

The same poll in August had Hilton at 12% and Porter at 18%. A Zogby poll, which took messaging into account, had Hilton at 29% and Porter at 23%.

Emerson college poll indicates that Republican Steve Hilton leads California gubernatorial candidates:

1. Hilton, 17%
2. Riverside county sheriff Chad Bianco (R) 14%
3. Eric Swalwell (D) 14%
4. Katie Porter (D) 10%
5. Tom Steyer (D) 9%

Hilton also picks up the most independent support at 22%.
