Apparently having a very tough time with COVID-19 and is hospitalized. It is quite serious.

Thanks for posting that here.  That’s awful.

      Thoughts and prayers.

FWIW,  my wife tested positive ten days ago on Tuesday, me on Thursday a week. This was amazing as we have been beyond cautious.

But we were lucky. Her case has been mild, and she clears tomorrow. Mine is completely asymptomatic. I’m isolating until Sunday, but I’m already beyond it.

Though God knows I’ve had my disagreements with Rocky, may he pull through this.

I wouldn't give you two cents for all your fancy rules if, behind them, they didn't have a little bit of plain, ordinary, everyday kindness - yeah, and a little looking out for the other fella, too.

Rocky’s wife was pretty sick and her fever broke after 11 days. My understanding is that he got sick after she did and he got worse and required hospitalization as he developed pneumonia. Last I had heard he was on oxygen but not on a ventilator. I do know that his conditions is listed as “serious to critical.”

If there is good news, he is on oxygen.

I figured he checked out when the Supremes refused to hear even one case about election fraud.

Wishing for a speedy and full recovery for my favorite yard gnome.

Yikes.  I hope we’ve gotten much better at treating COVID.  What other symptoms is he experiencing?  Did his wife’s symptoms completely clear?  Here’s hoping for a quick recovery.

Word is that Rocky seems to be doing better today. I don’t have his address but I’ll pass along news as I hear it from someone that is in more direct contact with Rock’s wife. This came on Rocky pretty fast. We were texting just this past Saturday; he said he had become symptomatic and recommended avoiding the disease as he said he was the sickest he could ever remember being.

GR, glad you are asymptomatic and that your wife’s case is mild, what a relief!

I’m old, but not that old. Nor am I a hospital worker. Kaiser in CA only has enough for health care providers, they haven’t even opened up for 75 plus yet. . . .

My wife and I received the Moderna shot two weeks ago.

With my immune system, I am damn happy about that!

PS….Very pleased to hear Rocky is improving…

Report is that Rocky is better, in good spirits, and has moved from ICU to ICCU, which is another step in the right direction.

      Hi all,

Via the other Rocky (the golfer who used to work for Sam Nunn)…

I told him I’d heard through you and the CEB board and that people were concerned about him.  He said it was very humbling that people would be thinking of him.  He was really, really grateful.  So if you could pass along his thanks to the board, I am sure he would appreciate it.

So, secondhand thanks from Rocky to all of you who posted well wishes (and any lurkers who merely thought them).

Wow!… I haven’ been here in ages (many months), and just this AM logged in… saw this thread posted on Rocky… and VERY glad to hear he and his wife now coming out of that very serious bout!… Know that we All care for you and continue to wish a strong recovery!

last fall my 76 year old sister in Virginia got it and so did my 17 year old Colorado grand-daughter with both cases being mild (mostly just loss of taste/smell) and they both are long since recovered. Glad to hear GR and his wife also out of those woods. Mrs FrankO and I both get our Covid shots tomorrow. And we’ll both still wear our masks and keep safe distances even after our 2nd shots as necessary precaution until he herd reaches immunity!  With the shots only delivering 95% effectivity, that 5% risk is still out there.

On another note related to the old Bootleg, if you haven’t been there in the last day or two, be aware that RJ Abeytia has retired (I think in pursuit of better opportunity) from the  Booty and the new replacement moderator now installed.

The old CEB on the Booty a convivial conclave despite our differences. Thanks for creating this site as substitute. But I need to be more aware of getting here going forward.

Did Faucci try to vaccinate Rocky to protect others from his values and work ethic? :yahoo:

Delighted to hear Rocky is out of the hospital.

I had a really mild case. Even so, the cough and a general sense of debilitation linger on.  It’s not all that much different than other viruses I have had. But I don’t think I’ll be fully recovered for another few days,
