Not one state response has defended the actions of any of the four states targeted as Constitutional or legal. The ONLY responses have been to criticize severely the action on the basis that it “decimates” the electorate or something similar in nature.

Once more, legally speaking, I think the suit has merit, is warranted and those four states have no significant claim that what they did was Constitutional or legal. In fact, unless they provide evidence to the contrary within their respective state constitutions, they have no defense.

Here is where the rub is in my humble, non legal opinion.  SCOTUS may decline to hear the case because they do not want to get involved and set a precedent for the court to determine an election result of this consequence as the lesser of two evils.  If they do take the case, only one result, that of affirming Trump`s victory by invalidating those four election results or turning the electoral votes over to the respective legislatures, is possible.

      Rocky,

      There is third outcome.

The court hears the case, rules that state officials/courts overrode existing laws passed by the state legislatures and let the results stand, not interfering states voting process.

Now that would be an invitation to cheating in every election from this day forward without consequence.  It would end forever the republic of, by and for a free people. I repudiate it.
