ParticipantBut it all gonna be fine.
Gavin the tone deaf governor supports small business!
Today is Small Business Saturday. California is home to over 4 million small businesses. This holiday season, shop safe and shop local to help support our economy and the over 7 million workers that help keep our small businesses going.

ParticipantAnd exactly how do they plan on enforcing travel restrictions? Have the Gestapo stop everyone on the 101 to check papers? Or maybe a special travel pass?
These idiots can’t stop the homeless from ripping off businesses, but they are going to check 10s of thousands of motorists? What are the rules for truckers delivering shipments? Will they round up everyone arriving at SJC and force them into quarantine?
Idiots…..

ParticipantGreat post Bob. Stanford football is like Dems blaming Trump for everything that is wrong in DC.
Complacency started years ago. May have started as early as Shaw’s second year. Tough to see at first, mostly due to momentum from Harbs. Complacency started with small nibbles early on, fueled by Shaw’s hubris. The last 3 years have been telling.
Performance shortcomings. Well, COVID does offer cover, but what ever happened to next man up? What COVID has exposed is Shaw does a poor job of developing players. Period.
Recruiting? I didn’t realize the staff even traveled. I thought recruits had to visit Stanford to show real interest in the program.
Yes, Covid will get the blame for this year and the next three. A good AD would see this year as a data point not far off the declining performance curve we have witnessed for the last 8 years. I expect Bernard will reward Shaw with a 5 year contract.

ParticipantNeodymium60 is spot on IMO. “Their idealism always increases with their distance from the problems.” Newsome not maintaining social distancing is another example is a good example of why the unwashed are saying “eff you” to stay at home orders. The “do as I say and not what I do stuff “is getting old.
True, Brown clings to the righteousness of position like a religious zealot claiming his religion is the only true path. I don’t view her intent as evil, she has an unshakeable confidence she is right.
She is ranked as one of the least popular governors in the US (https://www.oregonlive.com/politics/2019/07/kate-brown-is-one-of-the-most-unpopular-governors-in-country-thanks-to-republicans-morning-consult-survey.html) and her response to COVID is limited to following Jay Inslee in WA and Pretty boy Newsome.
This is typical of how insiders see her.
“Today she had a presser about supposedly reopening the economy and it was a remarkably content-free zone. There is no plan. She gave no hints about what that might actually look like. It was just kind of, ‘well, we’re planning to have a plan.’”
Oregon votes for governors in off election years. Oregon may very well not elect a republican governor, but I can’t see Brown winning in two years.

ParticipantI haven’t seen the Huskies this year, but after watching the Beavs beat Oregon I think Stanford may have seen it’s last win this season.
Stanford got almost every break, (thanks cal) and still came away with a one point victory? Yikes!

ParticipantSame thing happened to Oregon that has happened to most of the blue states. A small handful of counties control the state.
Kate is a piece of work, who never would have been governor were it not for John Kitzhaber resigning while under federal investigation.
For the most part, her order will be ignored by citizens and law enforcement alike.

Participant
“Don’t do your job, but implore others to do theirs. Eff em all” Yea, I’m green as grass…but we end up at the same place Dawg!
Watching this election play out has been as predictable as Shaw’s offense. Maybe more so.

Participant
What a gutless hack. Who does this governor think he’s fooling? He “urges ”the Secretary of State to take action? Fuck him and the horse he rode in on.
C’mon Bob. Did you just arrive? This is textbook Politics 101. Don’t do your job, but implore others to do theirs. Eff em all

ParticipantGrove: I was happy that Dominion Voting Systems had been ready to discuss their voting systems that 1.3. million Pennsylvanians trusted in casting their vote. Last night, they canceled their planned participation in today's hearing.

So why did Dominion cancel and why is there not a word about it in MSM?

ParticipantRocky, dems will do what they always do- blame someone else for policies that don’t work. 3 years from now when the economy is still in the crapper, dems will blame Trump. When there are 150k a month marching across the southern border, they will blame Trump. When the Green New Deal doesn’t work out, they will blame Trump.
Dems have their whipping boy. And for the next couple of years, they will be able to blame the Senate, casting Republicans as obstructionists.
The stage is set…..

Participant
It was reported this evening that the genius level Minneapolis city council has authorized funds to rehire one half the number of police officers who have left as they cut funding and gave it to social services. This means that the solution to violence caused by aggressive, racist police officers is to……………………………hire more police officers. Such is the logic of our new progressive leaders who will soon be in charge in DC and spreading their wisdom among us.
Participant
Are these the same guys running the elections in Oregon?
Oregon doesn’t have elections. It declares winners and give participation trophies to everyone else.

Participant
Davis Mills was kept out of the Oregon game last weekend for what eventually turned out to be a false positive covid test. WTF
Rocky, what was supposed to happen? He tested positive and he was held out.
Stop acting like playing Mills would have changed the outcome.
November 12, 2020 at 4:13 pm in reply to: Court Rules PA Secretary of State Lacked Power to Change Election Date #3599Beeg_Dawg
ParticipantLet’s assume for a moment the intent was a good faith to make sure ALL legitimate votes are counted. PA Legislature codified what constitutes a legitmate ballot. Even in good faith, the PA SoS can’t change the law.
I don’t understand why the USSC let this go in the first place. Not much different than what happened in FL in 2000.
Crazy thing, if this goes to the house Trump could win. Each state gets one vote, and there are more red states than blue.
