Bob, I agree with 99% of what you say but I still am certain the overriding issue of consequence is the temporary conjunction of the Dem party, the MSM and the Antifa left. If the Dems win, they will eventually do a 180 because Antifa won’t`stop stop but will still have to pay enough attention to their progressive left to fundamentally change the country. For the Antifa types, the changes will never go far enough. The Dem’s first priority will be to invalidate the electoral process to keep power by mailing ballots to everyone who cannot legally vote and dead people and returning them for people who care not to vote. I recently read a meme where a woman was distraught because her father voted for a Democrat in the most recent election which he had never ever done while he was alive. On another day, it would have been humorous. Not this one.
The entire point of my last three posts is that this type of government, these types of individuals, this mindset and socialistic/authoritarian/lawless/anti-democratic actions will become predominant as the Dem party partners with the Antifa types trying to destroy our society to obtain power. Biden is a tool, an empty vessel. Inevitably, they will also clash and do battle with the same factions but at what cost? We are really at an unbelievable once unfathomable crossroads with Trump temporarily the target for Dems to obtain power. As a nation, we are in incredible trouble and most do not have a clue. Eventually, the vapid and unknowing masses will revolt but will it be too late?
Interesting yet instructive that that you or anyone plugged into the rhetoric of the MSM would focus on race in this hypothetical tale rather than the political narrative driving the progressive socialistic movement to destroy the structure of our society. I understand your perspective but if you focus on that only, you miss the larger and greater point. Big picture, PL. Do not fall into the trap of inferring that anyone is “racist” or any statement is “racist” as all progressives do when one points out the fallacy of their movement and actions. I do not find the above narrative amusing in the least. You are mirroring their ploy that if one uses satire to point out the usage of race as strategy of the political narrative of the Left, one is therefore using racist rhetoric. WTF. They us race as a cudgel and if you point that out and highlight it, even in a parody, you are racist. Sol Alinsky redux.
In this war (and that is what it is), any weapon is fair game and playing the race card, the sex card or any other card to mask the true nature of what is the end goal of the movement really is the game plan and has been since its inception. Oppose us and you are racist! St Louis is instructive. Under the new socialist DA regimes fostered by Soros and others, it is without consequence if one trespasses onto private property, threatens property owners goods and person and terrorizes a private neighborhood but it is a chargeable offense to use weapons legally licensed and obtained on one’s own land to deter such illegalities. (Apparently, one can also alter evidence to manufacture new charges) This has happened in Portland, Chicago, Detroit, Seattle, Minneapolis, NYC and other places. It will soon come to your town if the Dems win because no Dem will oppose the left wing of its party and the socialist mayors and DA`s enabling it. They are emboldened and will become increasingly so until the election to create chaos. Oppose us and you must be racist! It will only be stopped in its tracks at least temporarily if Trump wins the election.
“Live free or die” works for me while it seems so many prefer “Live scared rather than die” these days.

Am I the only one scared to death about this?
I posted a very long post regarding Topcamera/Phogge’s history of posts referencing homophobia, female anatomy, race and all manner of other topics yesterday He posted another one yesterday which instigated my response about his gross reference to female genitalia. Legend removed his post but also my response which basically asked why a reference to German concentration camps automatically in one man’s feeble mind would engender a dastardly and unsubstantiated claim about antisemitism or bigotry knowing he is 3000 miles away while feigning immunity from racism, sexism, misogyny,homophobia and all manner of other views which some could interpret from his consistent history of posts in bad taste. He even made the same claim on the Cardboard. I have always felt no one on this board despite the jokes was any of those things including the guy I reference above but to claim such about one man, myself, for one post is inherently unfair nee ridiculous, petty and vindictive. It was TDome which was established for exactly that purpose and was dominated by only about 15-20 people until the CEB on the Bootleg was shut down. I asked in the censored post yesterday what his own wife might interpret from his compendium of posts if she did not know the author. We are talking about hundreds of such over 20 years and I can provide copies to her or anyone else. No one including myself ever accused him of racism, sexism, homophobia and the like for his efforts although an outsider might interpret such very easily. My post about the two German concentration camps was actually a condemnation of the behavior of someone or other who made unfair reference to someone else’s statements or actions (maybe Jeff Zucker) and I posed the hypothetical that maybe (he) they should have been residents of those concentration camps and would change (he) their point of view. My intent was actually 180 degrees opposite of the accusation. The protagonist above asked for an apology from me many times over a period of weeks both on the board and in private conversation and I would not do so because such was totally unnecessary since no offense was made except in the mind which can only be described kindly as residing outside the mainstream of interpretation. Only a petty mind with an agenda would make such an accusation and I do not intend to drop it at this point in time given what has transpired here and on the Cardboard which I knew nothing about until yesterday since I do not access that site or post there. Hating Trump is one’s right and privilege under the Constitution but slandering others who have a different view is not anyone`s right or privilege. A line has been crossed.
I am through with this board because of that censorship yesterday but not nearly finished with this situation.
(I have edited this post many times because it is my last one and I had things to say but I have one final thought. TC has been a friend for many years both on the Bootleg and in real life. We have shared tailgates and even dinner. He has been invited to my home although he never made it. I had great respect for him and valued his friendship. What he has done has been very hurtful on a personal level but one never knows what goes on inside someone`s mind as time goes on. While we in our extended household are baffled by his behavior, we will accept his transformation as a fait accompli and move on)

A perfect example above that could easily be interpreted as disrespectful of all women anywhere in the world, totally misogynistic and coarse in its reference to female genitalia including those of black and Jewish women. One could interpret this post as anti semitic, anti black, anti white, anti women and anti humanity and the poster himself as a gross, adolescent man child of perversion. One could do that but I do not. I give him the benefit of the doubt that it just was an immature attempt at humor that would appeal to some in West Marin. And what of his many dozens of posts regarding Remotey and other on the TDome board which could be interpreted by PC cultists as highly homophobic? He gives himself a pass but accuses others of horrific things in similar circumstances. I do not make that accusation either because I know better or at least think I do.
Now if only Phogge/Topcamera would afford the same latitude to all others. Humor is in the eye of the beholder but some who judge show prejudice beyond the pale. and it is personally hurtful to be accused of something outlandish and totally inappropriate subject only to one man`s prejudicial interpretation. Very disappointing and must be indicative of something within the psyche that I care never to explore.
If I was truly vindictive, I would take every post he has made of this nature and send them to his wife. I would be interested in her interpretation. I know what my wife would say and do if I were revealed as having said such.
He once asked me for an apology for his interpretation of one of my posts which he called anti semitic. Incredibly ridiculous. He is the one who should be apologizing big time for an accusation for which he should be held accountable on my terms.
Legend, I went over to the Cardboard because of this thread for the first time in about a year and a half and found the thread you referred to.
First, let me say that I have never seen or read a racist post on T-Dome or the CEB in 20 years. Akiddoc apparently thinks we had many, myself most likely included. What is really a pile of manure is Topcamera posting over there that I made an anti semitic post at one time. I remember the post and it was nothing like that and meant as humor in response to one of his many thousand attempts at his own humor, many of which have always been in bad taste but tolerated because it is TDome. Hundreds of his posts could outlandishly have been interpreted as malicious but I and others knew better. Apparently I was never afforded the same leeway. Under his pseudonym Phogge, he specifically referenced me as saying something I should not have said about BLM in the current environment as not a smart thing to do. Since when are we as Americans supposed to be limited by PC to not telling the truth?
In any event event, anyone who wants to call me or anyone else that I know on this board an antisemite or a racist should do so in person. My life history and friendships are exemplary in that regard and it takes a sick person to make that accusation out of whole cloth. There will come a day when we all are judged.
And no one was banned from TDome that I was aware of as they are asserting over there. I certainly was not. I just could not tolerate censorship and the limitation on freedom of speech.
Notable that they will allow negative and cynical things said about conservative posters and paint them all with the broadest of brushes as misogynists, racists, homophobes and the like. Yet, terrorist groups who break laws, kill people, destroy property and all manner of other crimes are lionized and tolerated.
Someone should remind the under 40 crowd upon whose principles this country was founded, prospered and survived for over 250 years. It wasn’t those of the latter group. That said, we who support Trump this time around do not do so out of love of his personal characteristics but out of support for what has made this country grow and prosper. If the Dems win the whole shebang, we are screwed, blued and tattooed to be simplistic. Hatred of Trump is not an intelligent rationale for destroying the nation’s successful culture. There have been many things to be ashamed of in our history but if one were a person of color and given a choice to live in any country in any decade in the worlds history, I tend to think present day US would win in a landslide.
The choice the malleable and controllable shell Biden offers is really a vessel to be filled with the wish list of AOC, Pelosi, Schiff, Talib et. al. The policies will not be altruistic or designed to improve our lives and lot but will be designed as was Obamacare as a means to assert more centralized control over our lives. The obtainment of more power. It is a simple goal and we are in dire straits and hanging by a thread over that reality.
Floridians wear masks when necessary. Others in west Marin are forced to wear them for appearance considerations or the comfort of others by friends and associates.
I just had to take a Covid test because one of my card playing friends came down with it. 7 of us (we played twice a week at our CC’s men’s card room) who played poker with him in very close proximity and our wives and families and close friends all took the test to be safe. Over 20 people.
All of us tested negative. So tell me again how virulent this disease is? In this instance, we were all shocked that no one tested positive. Still spinning that one around in my head. He has zero idea how he contracted it since we have all been doing the social distancing thing and wearing masks in places where people are closely packed. We all trusted each other to be super careful. I am the youngest at age 70. Also the best looking.
Hopefully the Chinese will next annex West Marin county after Hong Kong to put the residents into re-education camps.
It is all about painting a nirvana when Trump is defeated. Peace, love and harmony for the masses. That is what they will report. Painting a picture separate from reality when it suits their purpose and long term objectives. Lex hit the nail on the head. MSM has much to answer for but………………………….it never will.
Your analysis of Trump is simplistic and trite, Lex. You are an attorney. Imagine trying to work for your client`s best interests while every day one fellow attorney or another in your firm is trying to undermine you with your client, his friends, his business interests or trying to put you into disrepute by lying about you to your prospective clients. Would you be as focused and successful as you might otherwise be? I think not in spades. What he has accomplished has been remarkable given the distractions including impeachment. What has been illegally done to him is unprecedented and 150 years ago would have led to a great number of people being hanged. He is not God and not able to overcome everything but until the pandemic he was among if not our most successful President in many arenas including foreign policy, confronting the correct enemy countries for the proper reasons and constructing policies that elevated the prosperity of all classes of people.
The topper on this entire affair is the fact that the left wing council and mayors in some cities have spent nearly $100,000 at taxpayer expense for personal security details since this started while failing in their duty to protect citizens well being and property.
There is outright lawlessness in entire parts of inner cities in New York, Chicago, Seattle, Minneapolis and dozens of other cities. Anarchists, Antifa types and others of similar bent and character are running the show within these areas without rule of law or government control. DOZENS of people, mostly black, have died in recent weeks without benefit of police protection. When they try to help, they are belted with rocks, bottles and other dangerous weapons. Total anarchy. Businesses have been looted by the hundreds along with the livelihood and lives of many business owners and their families. This is the US????
What do these areas have in common? Years of Dem control where mayors, councilmen, governors and other power brokers are either too scared, too inept or too ineffective to have the strength to enforce rule of law and protect citizens. Many of these are so socialist and believe in tearing down the government institutions that protect citizens that they are promoting this lawlessness. I have seen pictures of homeowners having to brandish weapons to ward off prospective looters on their property to protect themselves because police are not allowed in.
CNN and other MSM will not report on the deaths or destruction, rapes and beatings that are occurring because it is inconsistent with the narrative they are promoting. They won’t show reality and what other media are showing. This is 3rd world stuff. The west Marin guy spouting insanity above hates Trump so much, he would rather people die and anarchy rule the cities out of hatred for one man. Voting Biden in would do just that, giving free reign to what is already happening. He has been in hiding for 80 days saying absolutely nothing about the situation. Same with Pelosi and Schumer as far as anything constructive or useful. I truly wonder what would happen if hundreds of people encamped out his front door or on his property and the downtown of Inverness whether he would just allow them to destroy his city businesses and his property and damage and pilfer all his worldly goods by standing up and loudly proclaiming “It is OK, rape my wife, steal my valuables, do anything you want to me because I hate Trump”. It is the lesser of two evils!!! While he says nothing about it and cares not because it is not his family or friends whose lives are being destroyed, does anyone doubt he would make a 180 degree plea for help if he was in the middle of the unpoliced and ungoverned areas? You don’t have to be a Stanford or SF State grad to figure that conundrum out.
If you want anarchy, put Schumer, Biden and Pelosi in control and you will get it. The quarantine has apparently affected the brain cells and common sense of many and unfortunately you appear to be among them. I do not even own a gun but after 70 years I am purchasing several and taking courses in how to use them in case people with your mindset win the election and the rule of law becomes a variable depending on where you live and who is in control. WTF ever happened to the minds of some people I truly used to love and respect is beyond this old guy`s comprehension. The Dem world is not one I want my grandchildren growing up in. ANYONE with common sense and belief in the rule of law including Donald Trump would be preferable to the present day Democratic party and its candidates.
