      …Peter Zeihan thinks Silicon Valley is heading for a massive, well-deserved, and immediate fall, for the following reasons:

      1. The valley has placed all of its eggs in the international basket.
      2. Silicon Valley depends on Asian manufacturing as we repatriate manufacturing jobs back to America.
      3. Much of the USA really, really doesn’t like Silicon Valley.
      4. The political left doesn’t like Silicon Valley — anymore. Sees SV as a threat to Democracy itself. Dianne Feinstein is at the top of this list.
      5. Political center questions Silicon Valley’s collective sanity.
      6. Populist right thinks Silicon Valley is the greatest jobs destruction machine in history.
      7. Populist left thinks robots and algorithms don’t pay taxes. Thinks SV is the top reason for America’s wealth inequality.
      8. Silicon Valley doesn’t have the cost structure, the space, etc. to get manufacturing back.
      9. The political right doesn’t like Silicon Valley — and never did. Silicon Valley CEOs shaped corporate policy, and committed to never working for the intelligence community and the defense department, BUT those same companies benefitted Russia and China.
      10. The tech and tech manufacturing that is returning is returning to locales outside of California.
      11. Silicon Valley resists fact-checking, and disavows America’s interests.

      Zeihan says it will happen fast when it happens. Most Americans think of ourselves as pioneers, can-do types. Dark side is that Americans had their lives improving regularly for 150 years, but we’re not good at adapting. We think the sky is falling, and we will panic and overreact, like we did with the Russian space race, COVID, 9/11, etc.

      What’s different this time is that we don’t care what the world looks like anymore.

      As I understand it, they have done the impossible for the ungrateful for so long that they just can’t stand it anymore. The odds there for success are still good but the goods are odd.

      Silicon Valley is like Rick Moranis’s plant in the movie…feed me.

      Recently the WSJ ran an article about META getting ready to launch AI bots aimed at children. To increase “engagement”?  They’ve reached the point in their “Audrey” lives they don’t need the Whitehouse, the FBI, the CDC or the DHS to craft a controlling narrative for them to distribute. They feel they are fully capable of independently furthering their self interests, thank you very much.

      Nothing bothers a politician more than being told you’re past your code date!  😂

      Here's a toast with one last pour, may it last forever and a minute more;
      Good fortune seems to you have sung, to live and love way past long
