160 Covid victims vs. a 160 person control group.  85% of both groups wore masks full time or part time.  Conclusion:  Masks are pretty ineffective.  What was the factor of note was exposure to a household member who had Covid or a regular contact who had it.

A much larger Danish study earlier this year and a NE journal study had similar conclusions but were walked backed by the authors under pressure from their educational institutions.

I think what is fairly obvious is that mask wearing provides limited protection.  That pressure by media, social media and politicians have made it a staple of life with Covid and that the ostracizing  and penalization of those who do not comply with the consensus is a portent of life to come under the Dems if Biden wins.

At one time, difference of opinion was a staple of scientific investigation but today, if you disagree with the media and political consensus no matter how well documented, you find yourself penalized by your colleagues, employer, social media and so called “friends” and acquaintances.  Science is dead.

It’s simply the high school bully effect writ large.  Every time a suburban wife who wears a mask during her 10 minutes in the store gets self-righteous about a store worker who has to pull an 8-hour shift with a face covering on wearing the mask a little cattywampus, I just think about the cool kids making fun of the poor kids.

I took one flight in July and was surprised at how oppressive the face covering is when it was required for the ~2 hours of the flight.  Not fun.  I can’t imagine having to wear it without breaks for an 8 hour shift, and I’m usually pretty comfortable in dust masks and respirators.

I thought the whole point of wearing masks was to prevent an infected person wearing a mask from transmitting it.  If it gets into the air conditioning system, or you get some on your hands and then touch your face, you’re going to get it.

What makes me angry is the Silicon Valley overlords decided that the WHO was the arbiter of the “science,” when they LIED to us, or that somehow the CDC knew better, so let’s just arbitrarily censor actual science.  At the end of all this, the media, Facebook, Google, and Twitter will have blood on their hands; much more than allegations against Fox News that have already been debunked.  Also, the New England Journal of Medicine, the Lancet, and other publications have sacrificed their credibility on the altar of wokeism.  It’s sad.  In my view, the Iran nuclear deal was the Democrats testing how much control they had over the media and “the narrative.”  It was a test that America failed.  Look at the results.

Not sure if you’re serious or not about the AC. There is zero evidence that Covid is transmitted through an HVAC system. In fact, a client has been working with Kaiser Hospitals to study the possibility and they’ve concluded the same. While the virus has been found in the system, there isn’t enough to make someone ill.

That said, transmission can indeed occur if the air flows in the conditioned space blow from someone with the virus to someone without the virus for a long enough period of time. Seems like a nit, but in actuality, it’s a big difference. No amount of filtration or outside air in the system will resolve the person to person airflow issue.
