ParticipantFirst, coaches want to eliminate minimum SAT and ACT requirements for eligibility (because standardized testing is racist).
The natural conclusion is that any attempt to measure performance or knowledge is… well, racist. (Link to argument that GPAs are racist).

LegendKeymasterAny attempt to measure anything that puts a historically disadvantaged group at a disadvantage seems to be moving into the “racist” bucket.
There is no objectivity. You say 2+2 = 4 and I tell you that the Arabs are murderers and oppressors of women and so using their number system makes me ill. You, sir, are therefore wrong. And on top of that: How dare you make me ill, sir!!!!
That’s it in a nutshell. Attempts at objectivity get met with righteous indignation that offer no alternative to achieve the objective goal.

ParticipantThe last six weeks have set the world record of Caucasian apologies for being Caucasian.
Fuck it, new findings are that the Covid virus antibodies don’t last long term. Who cares about SAT’s or college hoops in this New World Order.

So what? Who cares about antibodies? Are you projecting your longevity around the lifetime of Covid antibodies? I honestly don’t care about getting Covid. Bring it.
The New World Order is the proliferation of pussies quivering in every corner in a puddle of tears.

ParticipantYou may sing a different tune pal when you are on a gurney, tube down your throat, no friends or family close and being fed into your arm.
So ok bring it on. We won’t cry for you Argentina.

cardcrimsonParticipantEach to their own. Huge difference in mortality by age. . . .
We can’t “quiver in every corner in a puddle of tears”, or at least I won’t. My 13 year old participated in three in person camps this week , plus one online. Social distancing, masks, etc were practiced in all of them per county guidelines, though two of them were in the water. . . .To give her some semblance of a summer and to help her condition as an athlete, it’s worth the risk to me, someone in a high risk category.
That said, I’m swimming six days a week, drinking a lot less wine, eating better, and wearing a mask every time I’m indoors in public. I want to prep myself in case she gets it, and gives it to me. . . .
