All the 2024 presidential candidates come to the Teamsters seeking their support and endorsement. The Teamsters provide each candidate with a 16-question survey.
Trump answers all 16 questions. RFK Jr. (when he was in the race) answered all 16 questions.
Biden answered five of the questions, left the other 11 blank. When Biden drops out, the Teamsters reached out to Harris for a meeting. Harris ignores them. A Teamsters VP, Joan Quarry met Harris at an independent event and introduces herself. Harris sticks her finger in her face and says “Teamsters? You better get on board. You better get on board soon.”
To the Teamsters.
O’Brien calls Marty Walsh (Biden’s former sec of Labor, former Laborers Union local member, former Mayor of Boston) and says “Who does this fxxxing lady thinks she is?”
Harris finally agrees to meet with them after Walsh puts pressure on Harris. When they meet, Harris refuses to answer 13 of the 16 questions, and her team cuts off the interview 20 minutes before the scheduled end of the meeting. She said, as she departed the meeting with the Teamsters, “I’m going to win with or without you.”
This is precisely how a career prosecutor would handle the interaction…arrogant attitude and giving orders.
