Who actually are the voters in Portland? Are there any traditional US voters who do not lean toward the Marxists? As horribly incompetent and daft as Wheeler is, his opponent who will likely win is an outright Communist that hates the US.

Rocky, I can’t explain it because I don’t understand it. Portland has gone from “different” to shithole in a generation. Tents line I-5 from the Columbia River to the south side of Portland, nightly riots still make the news, but only with a passing mention. You won’t find a Republican on the ballot for mayor. Top two vote getters in the primary move on to the general election. That’s why Ted and the communist are at the top of the ticket.
You go 60 miles east of Portland and the population turns red, there just is not of them to offset leftists of Multnomah County.

I offer this answer to what’s going on in Portland and beyond.
Wealthy left wing donors across the country are more interested in your local school board than the residents. The curriculum gets into the school and voila! Little leftist are trained to become angry big ones. On the next level up you get leftist prosecutors who refuse to prosecute whole classes of crime and actually nullify laws they don’t like. Once the leftists catch on, the fun starts in the street. They know they can operate with impunity. And are applauded for their courage for looting and mayhem.

She supports Antifa big time yet claims to be an an anti-Fascist? Seems to me she is right in line with the Dem party as Biden claims he is a moderate to middle of the road Dems while claiming to be liberal to the Sanders wing.
One truism in politics is you are who you associate with. Biden adopted the Sanders/Biden unity Task Force Template which is indubitably socialist while asking Harris to be his VP candidate. Pelosi meanwhile floats the 25th amendment for future Presidents after Trump. Biden is in bed with aggressively bureaucratic and socialist bedbugs.
Does anyone fail to see where the Dem platform and program for the US really lay and with whom the Dem power structure visualizes its incorporation? It`s not Joe Biden and it appears he truly does not seems to comprehend his minimal place in the Dem future. “Get us in, Joe, and you may retire to Scranton with Hunter and his billions”

Portland doesn’t have a problem with the choices for mayor. Rather, they have widespread mental health problems within the body politic. 20% of all adults worldwide suffer from mental disorders. I’d imagine it is much higher in Portland and Seattle. Oregon ranks #1 in depression in the US with a rate of 25%.
Combined with other antisocial factors, Portland is literally a sick place. Covid has compounded it. Wouldn’t be surprised if we have a big surge in mental health problems nationally pretty soon.
