Mick1ParticipantDemocratic strategist David Axelrod thinks Biden’s defiant stance on the economy will backfire. So do I. I don’t understand or agree with the inflation figures as publicized by the government. My experience is substantially different:
I’m genuinely curious as to what Nikki Haley wants. She hasn’t endorsed Trump yet. Does she think she’ll get the VP nod? Does she want it? Maybe she wants to run for President again:
Kamala Harris has a 51.3% disapproval rating and a 38.2% approval rating:

ParticipantGotta wonder what metric the WH uses in determining how well the economy is doing.
Unemployment Numbers are more fraudulent than meaningful.
Consumer prices are insanely volatile. Energy prices are out of control, thanks mainly to increased Green Initiatives. (Energy Taxes)
Most of the GDP increase from Q1 2020 is wiped out by inflation.
Consumer Spending is financed by credit card debt.
Budgeted deficit spending at all time high.Aside from denial or delusion, how could any one look at our current economic policy and not see a train wreck of epic proportion. 🙂

LegendKeymasterThe numbers issues are a big one. Fewer and fewer people trust the reported inflation numbers, and jobs numbers include part time jobs where people hold 2 or 3 of them.
GDP reports are supposedly “real” and so inflation adjusted, but with what inflation index? That’s the rub.
I think our economy is doing just ok, and is way too dependent on government and healthcare jobs, which aren’t always value creating.
I think our fiscal policy is a true train wreck.

Matt Taibbi and Brian Kilmeade thinks Biden literally doesn’t understand inflation or why it happens, and they’re out of touch with ordinary people:
