ParticipantJudge Robart issued a shot over the bow of Seattle’s City Council. Evidently, Seattle has a legal obligation to ensure any large scale changes to police policy have approval of both a federal monitor and Judge Robart.
My reading between the lines says Robart is not going to allow this nonsense by Seattle.
FWIW, thousands of police supporters showed up in downtown Seattle, protesting the projected PD cuts.
I’m hoping Seattle returns to its senses and replaces every last member of the city council and Jenny Durkan this fall. Probably won’t happen…..but maybe the silent majority is starting to find it’s voice.

ParticipantThe Seattle City Council consist of actual people. If you look at the link below it tells all about them including their website, bios and staff. When you read the bios, it is if everything is normal in Seattle. No problems just the wonderful things that they have accomplished. Nothing about riots, looting, violence, homeless, defunding police. Just wonderful caring things they have done. These are all dedicated public servants. Nice people. Caring people. They even are building tiny house villages. Hobbits anyone?

The police chief gave her resignation. Had enough.
The council voted 7-1 to defund the police and reduce salaries. The lone vote against was because the council lady felt the cuts were not steep enough.
Nice.
