Really interesting article on many fronts. The scoring method for dementia tests considers black people differently.

One Stanford related nugget:
“Amon Gordon, a Stanford University graduate, finds himself at 40 unable to work. He has twice qualified for an advanced dementia award only to have the decision overturned for reasons that aren’t yet clear to him and his wife. His case remains on review before the federal appeals court in Philadelphia.”
I didn’t realize Gordon ever graduated. Sad story though. Advanced dementia at 40. Wow.
