The question is, who planted the story / came up with the idea to do the story? Sounds like the reporter is covering for the two employees (lots of calls for them to be fired).
This seems suspicious, because an initial tweet suggested that Hegseth provided the documentation, not West Point (and the reporter is trying to to throw Hegseth’s lawyer and PR person under the bus), and Hegseth tweeted out the proof earlier.

People are now circulating receipts. Lots of people with egg on their faces. The e-mailed accusatory / condescending questions are particularly offensive given what we know.
