      My reaction to this story is that it highlights for me how severely my faith in institutions has been damaged over many years.  I find myself reacting harshly to the notion of Stanford investigating itself .  .  . on any issue.  Or any other institution doing so.

      But stepping back, the person who wrote this could just be any of a broad array of snowflake “Karens” who parse every unfolding event in their lives like it is The Kennedy Assassination.  Someone get the stain remover and get on with it.  It is a pretty lame attempt at Hate Speech if that is what it was.  Furthermore, I think there are far more powerful examples of Anti-Catholicism and Anti-Semitism around the country that should be given more prominence.

      First off, yes Catholics are for some reason fair game for discrimination and ridicule.

      second, this seems like much ado about nothing.

      Did we figure out who burned down Notre Dame? If you blame a worker’s cigarette, I don’t find that credible given the history of France.
