Well, we went from journalists crowing about how Biden is about to negotiate peace between Saudi Arabia and Israel to this in about a week.

Of course giving Iran $6billion (and a bunch of terrorists) for some prisoners probably didn’t help. This administration has some of the least competent foreign policy “negotiators” in history.

An official statement from the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs:

“The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia holds Israel responsible for what has transpired due to its repeated provocations and deprivation of the rights of Palestinians.”

A London paper, The Express is reporting that the Taliban has asked Iran, Iraq and Jordan for passage to support Hamas in this conflict.  They offer to capture Jerusalem…with American weapons?  🤦🏼‍♂️

      This would complicate things considerably.

Biden’s three minute statement failed to mention Iran even though they took credit for the conflict.  They were the source for the rockets?

Now reported by the Israeli UN Ambassador that perhaps dozens of Americans are now being held hostage. Confirmed by our global guitarist Blinken. The time has come for unequivocal and decisive application of power against Hamas, Hezbollah with a warning to Iran. All hostages, American and Israeli NOW.

No warmonger am I. But the more politically correct application of the old adage of “don’t start nothin won’t be nothin” is in effect.  This was the invasion of a country that now should be given free hand to strike back.

Israel should occupy, subjugate, and transform Gaza. The Palestinians had their chance at self government, and their government just poked the bear.

I’m sorry for the Israelis and for the innocents who will doubtless get caught up on the war within Gaza, but the actions this weekend were beyond the pale.

Our administration will continue to fiddle to satisfy some post-modern sense of “peace in our time,” I presume.

“don’t start nothin won’t be nothin”.     Exactly.

And to certain parties I would add, “don’t condemn a war you funded”

It’s fascinating how prejudice is already twisting the narrative.  Israel is viewed as “punching down” and no matter the Israeli body count (currently 800 and rising) or composition (mostly civilian, including 250+ murdered at a music festival), there will be voices that, like the famous quote from ilhan Omar, minimize terrorist action as “somebody doing something” and placing the focus on the brutality of the response.

Last report is that 9 Americans are among the dead, with uncounted hostages possible.  It appears that hostage taking was systematic to provide human shields.  That’s one reason I expect Israel to take a few more days to measure twice and cut once.

I welcome the Ilhan Omar narrative. Who am I going to believe, her or my lying eyes?

But now a days I’m an outlier. I welcome Riley Gaines sharing her views at SF State. I welcome judges with a perspective to Stanford Law School. And I welcome parents with views to share at school board meetings.

I take exception to political hacks like Hockel trying to abridge speech. To hell with her. Her motives aren’t aligned with my free speech rights.
