Immediately retweeted by McAuliffe’s campaign spokespeople (calling this “disqualifying”) and other Democratic operatives (including Eric Swalwell and Lt. Col. Vindman’s wife).  Then people started getting suspicious.  Long story short, 1 McAuliffe aide, 2 members / officers in the Virginia Young Democrats, and a person who worked for “Homes for All,” the Biden campaign, and the Whitmer campaign before moving to Virginia.

Then the Lincoln Project claimed responsibility.  Probably the worst, most poorly executed political dirty trick in history.  Evidence at http://www.twitter.com/alec_sears/ who has been following this since its inception.
