LegendKeymaster“Trespassers will be shot.”
That’s the sign that is missing from all this. The criminals live under a cloak of victimhood because they are “homeless.” The reality is they are stealing private property, and the scale of the theft has to amount to grand larceny at this point.
I have to think that there are many ways of managing around this, but with current bizarre eviction laws, I’m not sure.
One thing is certain: the Covid year will make a lot of people think twice about being a landlord.
Property rights just aren’t what they use to be in some places.

rjnwmillParticipantAre they entitled to someone’s car if public transportation schedules are inconvenient?

MickParticipantOh, it gets better. Much better. The homeless are classified as 1b, in terms of priority of receiving the coronavirus vaccine. That means, they are in front of people who have worked diligently their entire careers, avoided laziness and self-destructive behaviors.
And let’s keep in mind that these folks are permanently outdoors, so are already ‘socially distancing’ so to speak. They already have lower infection rates:

ParticipantSan Diego used to be a conservative / Republican town because of the heavy naval presence. Now it’s a battleground, with the school system getting rid of grades because they are racist?
As for why Seattle and Portland allow CHAZ related anarchy, it’s because their voting bases have elected explicitly anti-police leaders. They’ve changed the rules of engagement (with Ted Wheeler taking over the police department), and as a result, de-escalation and appeasement are the priority. What happens when you appease any group that wants to seize power? They seize more power. At some point, the neighborhoods demand eviction, and then a painful balancing / negotiation occurs.
Here’s a fun analysis of why this is all happening.

It’s because journalists and activists are in their own self-justifying echo chamber.
Oh my lord has this tweet taken off. Allow me to clarify.
Pence was not wrong to say 2.1M ppl = millions. I shouldn't have said "not true." That's my bad.
I should have said "overstatement." The millions he's talking about is barely over 2M. Hence the link to CDC data.

It is irritating how laws are selectively enforced. Washington (and most states if not all) has page after page of code detailing the responsibility of hotels and guests, detailing criminal charges when guests don’t pay or attempt to defraud an innkeeper. Anyone posting here would be charged with a felony and removed from the property for pulling this crap.
I wonder if left coast state residents will ever get mad enough to vote SJWs out of power. Didn’t happen this election because everything is Trumps fault. Maybe in two years we will see things start to change.

Young people have always looked to role models to emulate when they grew up. Now it looks like it’s better to focus on anti-models. People you don’t want to be like.
