I wish I could articulate our national energy policy.  I don’t think it’s doable.

Canceling the leases in ANWAR doesn’t bother me too much depending on what else is available.  I don’t see “protecting” land as a bad goal for the country.   But when that is compounded by other hindrances, I do wonder whether we really WANT to be more independent on energy.

I’m no political strategist but I can’t see how Newsome can win. He’s a child of nepotism that has left a wake of destruction.  Add to that the hard fact that non Californians are skeptical of Californian governance, and I can’t see him winning Ohio and Pennsylvania against a Republican like Nikki Hayley or desantis.

I personally think the bud light boycott is overblown, but then again I walk through life fratty and out of touch.

We went from grounding and pounding folks with some really talented guys in almost every position to winning lucky with clearly less talent but a few true standouts (think Harrison Philips IIRC), to not winning, and not having much talent (or even a full roster, which is a crime against the players IMHO).

It was pretty easy to see.  It was also easy to like Dave Shaw.  Still is, by the way. I’ve got nothing against the guy and think we oversaw the best era of Stanford football.  I also think he wasn’t held to account for the perceptible decline in roster and performance. He retired on active duty for a couple of years and collected monster paychecks without questions for it.

It’s back up. Glad they got it going again.  It’s the only site I check for stanford sports news. Too many people became Dave Shaw acolytes and couldn’t see the emperor’s nakedness.

If the bots attack this site don’t hold your breath for a recovery.

    Nuclear war, how?

I can believe that there will be the use of a tactical nuke on some battlefield somewhere within my lifetime.

I do not believe an H-bomb will be dropped.

Either move is a tragedy but the latter is genocide while the former can still be a military act.

I couldn’t access it either earlier today.  I posted that Shaw should be sued a few days back and got no response.

I just assumed they closed the curtain while they fellate each other.

Duke beat number 8 clemson last night.  Duke’s program proves that the David Shaw era of transactional player mis-development is all about David Shaw’s laziness as a leader.

Adaptation instead of mitigation… just like nature.

Climate science is a lot like college football. Both have been corrupted by money.

Being in person vs at home is like eating your vegetables. Not everybody wants to do it, but everybody is better off if they do.

that doesn’t mean people need to revert to a 5X9 schedule, but limited in person interaction saps team effectiveness in most functions.
